What goes in

We start with 99.9% purified water. Then we add aloe vera leaf juice, known for its soothing and moisturizing properties — not because it looks good on a label, but because it genuinely calms sensitive skin.
Chamomile flower extract follows, used for its anti-inflammatory properties. Calendula officinalis comes next — a botanical that's been used to soothe irritated skin for centuries. These aren't marketing words. They're real plants with real effects.
Why it matters
Newborn skin is 30% thinner than an adult's. It absorbs what you put on it.
The average baby is wiped down 2,500 times in their first year. If your wipes contain unknown preservatives, synthetic fragrances, or chlorine-bleached fibers, that's 2,500 exposures to ingredients you can't identify.

Most baby wipe brands list ingredients in INCI (International Nomenclature Cosmetic Ingredient) format — which sounds scientific, but it's designed to be obscure. We include the plain-English name and the reason it's there.
About the preservative
Wet wipes cannot be made without a preservative — without one, they would grow bacteria and mold within days. We use sodium benzoate at 0.1%, the minimum effective concentration, and we've chosen it specifically because it's one of the most studied and well-understood preservatives in cosmetic chemistry. We mention it because hiding it would be dishonest, and you deserve to know what's in the product.
What's not in here

Wet wipes must contain water — and water is a perfect environment for bacteria and mold to grow. Without a preservative, your wipes could become unsafe within days of manufacture. We use sodium benzoate at 0.1% (the minimum effective level), which is one of the most studied preservatives in cosmetic chemistry. We name it and explain it because hiding it would be dishonest. A product that claims to be "preservative-free" and is still wet should give you more concern, not less.
Our formula is designed specifically for the most sensitive skin — newborn and infant skin in the first two years. If your baby was born premature or has a specific skin condition like eczema, we recommend consulting your pediatrician first, as you should with any product. Our ingredients are chosen for gentleness, but every baby is different.
The wipe itself is a soft, plant-based spunlace fabric — made from plant cellulose (wood pulp from sustainably managed forests), unbleached with chlorine. We chose this over conventional polyester-blend wipes because it's softer on skin and breaks down more readily. It's also thicker than most budget wipes, so you use fewer per change.

No — and we want to be direct about this. No wipe currently on the market should be flushed, regardless of what the packaging says. "Flushable" wipes routinely clog municipal sewer systems and cause environmental harm. Ours are made from plant-based fiber that breaks down faster than conventional wipes, but they belong in the trash, not the toilet.
